This is a gorgeous vintage pitcher by the Cambridge Glass Company. The silver overlays were usually done by outside decorating companies. This one is marked Sterling but the decorating company is not shown. These were usually sold through jewelry and better department stores.

Thepitcher is about 8\" tall.

The pitcher is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or other damage except for a fewvery minor scratches on the base as expected on a vintage item. See the close-up photos for more detail.

\"This is a beautiful pitcher in great condition but I rarely describe vintage used items such as this as perfect since most of the glass of his era was not perfect when it came out of the factory. Silver overlays entail hand work and as such are subject to minor imperfections. I do not consider this damage but have taken additional photos. I\'ve added photos to the listing as well as sending them to you directly. The messaging system only allows 5 photos to be sent at a time so I will try to send them in a separate email. I wish you could view this in person but the digital photos actually do a great job of allowing inspection of an item. Now, to try to answer your questions. I do not find any areas where the silver is not intact, but you should view each photo and use the zoom view. I consider the photos to be part of the description. There is a small bump on the silver overlay on the lip. The silver overlay shows a brush stroke on the lip. The silver shows tarnish-I prefer not to polish silver overlay and will leave that to the buyer. I do not find any significant scratches in the body of the pitcher but you should expect to find some minor scratches in such an item as this-just washing and dusting will leave microscopic wear on an item. There are minor scratches on the bottom but you have to hold them just right for the light to catch them. I\'ve included more photos for your viewing. There are no black or rust spots but I do find a small spot on the bottom of the pitcher that I believe is a bit of silver overlay. The glass does have the usual straw marks, \"seeds\" & bubbles that are customary to Cambridge glass but nothing that is unusual. I\'ve included photos from every angle to allow you to see every bit of the pitcher close-up. It is a beautiful pitcher but do not expect absolute
