This is a beautiful vintage/antique pin brooch made by
Caron Brothers.Though it is possible the pin may have been
made just prior to the 1900\'s, it was most likely made
sometime between1900 to 1930 as that is when Caron Brothers
producedmost of its gorgeous patrioticCanadian pins.Many were designed as souvenir
pins and featured wonderful symbolism unique to each
Canadian regions, provinces and cities.
Please view all 9 photos.This one is in the frame of a shield/crest shape and decorated
with enamel. The centerpiece ( shield-shaped) shows
the 3 lily flowers. The backside is marked \"STERLING\"
followed by hallmarks, of which the last may well beconsidered a maker\'s mark as it specifically
indicates this wasmade by Caron Brothers
( see the Capital letter\"C\" with a number 3 within it ).
Size is about 1 1/2\" X 1-7/8\". Shown next to a
quarter and a Eisenhower dollar for
additional size reference.
See item condition description above for what I have
already noted. It is an estate item (pre-owned)
and vintage/antique, yet in very good condition.
There is patina/dark tarnish spots on backside
as I have only hand cleaned/polished this
gently as I am hesitant to handle vintage items
with enamel detail too much and I
suggest careful cleaning with no harsh products.
