This is a Carl Zeiss Jena Zielvier Vintage 4X Rifle Scope with side mount. I believe the mount was compatible with the Mauser K98 German sniper rifle but only have the portion that attaches to the scope. The serial is 57152 and it was made in Germany prior to WWII. The steel tube, adjustment knob and objective ends do have some scratches and there is blueing loss in some areas. The adjustment knob and set function well and the mount functions perfectly. The German style reticle appears crisp and pretty clear and the glass is still very clear. This is a very nice rare German optic that would make a great addition to a collection or mounted on a K98.
