Carlisle and Finch 1897 Mining Set in Very Good (C6) condition. Two mining cars (different variations)with loco. Loco does not run and has been overpainted with green. We believe this could be removed if required. According to Greenberg\'s Guide to Carlisle & Finch - production records show that less than 500 of these locos were produced and it is the #3 set - coal cars and coal locomotives, first run, order number 1127, made between April 28th 1897 and October 5th 1897. It retailed as a set with the loco, three cars, 3 battery cells, 1 can chromite, 20 feet of track and 90 tis (not included here!) for $5 with a wholesale price of $2.75 and a production cost of $1.60. Very rare set that\'s well over a century old. Great for the collector.
