Tonight I\'m happy to offer, from a recently purchased estate, Carlton Ware, Early 1940\'s - \"Rouge Royale\" - Enameled Crane Pattern - 8.5\" Dish.
EXCELLENT CONDITION! - !
This graceful and elegant jar is in excellent condition and I suspect has rarely been used, on inspection I could not find a mark on the piece.
The dish is rectangular in shape featuring gold detailed handles. The main color of the dish is a rich shade of deep burgundy featuring an enameled design of cranes and willow trees with additional jeweled accents.
The dish in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, fading or loss to the color or design with no damage to the enamel details.
I would safely guess that the dish dates from the early 1940\'s. The dish is marked on the bottom with the familiar Carlton Ware mark, Made in England and Rouge Royale.
I\'m not that familiar with English porcelains, the marks are shown and I\'m sure the Carlton Ware collectors will be able to put an exact date on the set, if you have any information about the marks please feel free to e-mail.
Carlton Ware has always been known for fine quality porcelains and this enchanting and hypnotic example will not disappoint even the most discerning collector.
