This horse was carved by Shelby Chambers in Austell, Georgia in 1991. The plan used was from a Circa 1915 picture of a Charles Carmel Stander. The plans were obtained at the Herschell Carousel Factory Museum In North, Tonawanda, NY. It is solid construction as opposed to coffin style and made of Basswood. It is one third size which is 27\" high and 29\" long. It has a brass pole and the base is 14\" x 24\" The horse and base weigh 31 1/4 pounds.If you purchase this allow for time to build a wooden packing crate for protection.
