This is a vintage brooch or pin with carved angel skin coral bird with a ruby eye, among leaves and fruit in a 14 K yellow gold setting. The piece is 2\" x a little over 1\" and weighs 16.2 g. or 10.4 dwt. It can be worn horizontally or vertically. There is a jump ring that will allow it to be worn as a pendant, but I am guessing that the ring may not be original. It would be easy to remove the ring. There are no marks on the gold, but I have tested it and guarantee that is is 14 K.

It is possible that the piece is Chinese. I am guessing that it dates to about the 1950\'s.

The condition is excellent, no chips or cracks in the coral, no issues with the gold.
