For your consideration is this Castello Old Antiquari estate pipe. The pipe has an amazing aesthetic appeal with great coloring and a nice rusticated finish to the bowl. It looks to be in lightly smoked condition indicated by the low amount of carbon in the bowl. I would like to mention that in the grooves of the rusticated finish there seems to be a clay like substance in certain spots. I am not entirely sure if this is from the original mold that surrounded the pipe, however it does seem to come off pretty easy. Please reference my pictures as this clay like substance is easily noticeable. Additionally, the stem tenon and shank mortise adhere together nicely while still maintaining the ability to be separated for cleaning. The stem tenon does rotate within the bowl when purposely manipulated, from my understanding this is due to a pipe being left unsmoked for a long duration. In total this is a wonderful pipe with great eye appeal. If you have any further questions please feel free to ask.
