Hey folks! Here we haveanother rare and wonderful piece by Gary Mitchell! This piece is unique in the fact that it had a crack on the bottom...Years ago when the old time potters had made their utilitarian pieces and they would not hold water so to speak, They had a fix and that is what Gary did here. Gary filled the crack on the bottom (outside) of the pot with more clay then put an amber glass shard on the inside and fired it again, thus sealing the inside with melted glass!There are pics of the amber glass inside and the pic of the bottom with patched clay..it will NOW hold water!! Guaranteed not to leak!Gary has out done himself again with the zigzag design in the swirl brown and white clays, Look on the back! A perfect face with cobalt blue pupils, this pot measures 12 1/2\" tall and 10\" from spout to handle.Signed with the Catawba Valley Seal, GM and Catawba County NCThanks for looking!
