Up for sale or buy it know is a metal lathe made by the Champion Tool Works Co of Cincinnati Ohio. The lathe is a 12\" model and it has a 84\" overall bed length and a 4\' usable for machining. The lathe sits on its own legs and the bed it about 43\" off the ground. The company was formed in 1905 from the previous owners of the R. K. LeBlond Machine Tool Co and the Bradford Machine Tool Co. The Champion Tool Works Co was known to exist into the 1930\'s as there are ads appearing in magazines. This lathe was from a relative who was a machinist for his profession and he had the lathe at home until he passed away. I know he obtained it in the 1970\'s and used it till his passing. The lathe is completely operational via a 3/4 hp Century Motor that was attached. If the motor would be removed the flat belt would make the metal lathe work again. There is a label with the feed speeds using the gears. The lathe comes with a 8\" face plate with a slot for a dog driver. I will try to add a picture of the gears as soon as I can. The lathe comes apart in large heavy pieces which can be disassembled with an engine hoist. The lathe currently sits on its legs just inside my garage so you can access it easily. The lathe is for Pickup and I cannot help to lift it due to a bad back. I saw an ad for the lathe which estimated the weight at 1,350 pounds. If you find a company that will ship it for you then that again would be completely up to you to do and pay for. On the tail stock the ram tightening bolt has the top 1-2 inches missing see picture 6.
The 4 Jaw in some pictures is NOT part of the sale. The chuck will be kept by me or possibly for sale later on .
