I think this is a stunning set. It is from the 60\'s or so, and has beautiful cherry blossoms blooming on a white embossed background. Perfect for Springtime. This fine porcelain is from Japan by the Nichinan Company. Every piece is stamped. There are no chips or cracks on any of them. There are eight 10.5\" dinner plates--five 7.5\" x 1.75\" soup bowls.--seven 7.5\" salad plates--5 cups and 5 saucers--one sugar bowl with one lid-- one creamer (4\"x5\")--one 9\"x2\" vegetable serving bowl and one large 12\" serving plate. There is a pinpoint black spot from \"birth\" on the 12\" plate. It is under glaze, and hardly noticeable. There are a few utensil marks to some pieces, nothing major. 35 pieces in all if you include sugar lid in the count. It was my Mother\'s and I hardly remember us ever using it. I recently acquired it and have too many sets to move to a smaller home. So hard decisions were made. Thanks for viewing this listing. Shipped in 2 boxes.
