Antique Victorian Salesman Sample Mahogany Swan Fainting Couch Chaise

This is an exquisite Antique Victorian Childs Doll Salesman Sample Swan Fainting Couch Recaimer. The hand carving is a very delicate ornate Swan Handle Backing with detailed carved legs and edges! Fantastic late Victorian, early 1900\'s hand carved, Fainting Couch or Chaise.

This is not doll house furniture but the larger scale often used by artisans as their master project or as salesman\'s samples where a potential buyer could then order a full scale piece from the miniature sample. However it could be used for a child, dolls or display. This is not a full size adult couch.

Measures approx. 38\" long, 18\" high and 14\" deep.

In great condition with some marks in the wood finish they are marks from age and storage, minor scuffs and dings. It has been re-upolstered and there is one minor flaw in the material as shown. Where the swan piece starts to move to the head rest the wood has seperated and just needs to be pushed back together. This is not a break or crack but a seperation. Fantastic piece of furniture.

I was lucky to find an estate of a 93 year old collector of everything. Some of the rarest stuff I have ever seen! So keep an eye out on our store for some incredible pieces!
