This is a beautiful old pair of Chinese champleve (similar tocloisonné) vases. These vases measure 6 inches tall and are a \"matched pair\". The design on the vase is the Chinese Iris flower. These vases are imperfect from either age, wear or creation. The vase on the left has a dent on the belly and discoloration inside the mouth. Turn it toward the back when displayed and nobody but you will notice. It looks as if someone used it to burn incense. The exterior at the base of the neck is starting to change color from heat, element exposure, age? who knows. The other is free of dents and has a rub spot on the rim of the mouth where the gold has worn off. Ididn\'t notice until I took the photos but this one has an uneven lip. These vases are beautiful and done in similar technique tocloisonné. The enameling process in champleve is similar however the enameling is not level to the metal and leaves a very textured almost 3-dimensional appearance. Idon\'t know the exact age of these but I would say somewhere between 60 and 90 years at least.

Payment through PAYPAL is due within 3 days of the sale end. If you cannot pay within 3 days you must contact us to make arrangements to extend payment time. Are you getting all of this? Yes there will be a quiz later. We use automated payment reminders and the automated unpaid item assistant feature through which must be manually turned off. If you don\'t contact us prior to the payment due date (shame on you) will file an unpaid item claim. The only way to turn it off after the claim has been filed is to pay for your item.
