CHINESE EXPORT SILVER DRAGON BOWL; FROM KWAN WO, c1890; EXCELLENT CONDITION

This is a beautifully hand crafted c1890 Chinese export silver dragon center bowl.

From the well listed Kwan Wo.

Circular tapering form, thick well cast foot.

Adorned with a pair Chinese dragons battling over the sacred pearl. Carved in high relief with exceptional finish detail. Thick furry snout eyes ablaze long tendril flaring. Set amidst rolling clouds which partly camouFlage the dragon bodies.

The pearl in coveted flaming lotus form. The long streaming fire spikes rising from all sides.

Monogram in fire lotus medallion.

Finished with rich stippled background.

This Chinese export dragon bowl just under 7 1/2 inches and weighs 18 1/2 (standard) ounces.

Hallmarked as shown.

Excellent condition. Rich lusterous silver patina throughout. Beautifully carved dragon retain most all their original facial detail. Stands firm on table. Mild wear.
