We are pleased to offer this c1830 Chinese export silver egg cruet set.

An iear identical smaller Cutshing cruet set illustrated in Forbes Fig. 168 page 221.

This set from one of the most rarely seen Canton makers \"P\".

Working in the 2nd quarter 19th century.

The egg stand in shaped circular design.

George III inspired raised floral and gadroon supports. Secure the six urn form egg cups.

Slots for the fiddle, thread and shell egg spoons from Cutshing.

He worked in Canton at the same time as \"P\". Master \"P\" had spoons made by Cutshing for his client.

Forbes illustrates identical spoon page 165.

The stand with cast hour glass handle. Handsome leaf framed twin shell to centre, diamond above.

The stand supported beautifully upon most unique inset shell ball feet.

The stand 8 inches tall 7 1/2 wide. Cups 2 5/8 inches, spoons 4 inches. Set weighs 31 1/2 (standard) ounces.

Hallmarked as shown. The marks extremely clear and well struck.

In excellent condition. The set appears little used. Rich, lustreous silver patina throughout. The beautiful carved leaf framed shell medallion and shell and floral decoration retain their original crisp, vibrant detail. One cup a well matched silver plate replacement.
