This is a rare Chinese export silver salver.

Original coat of arms.

A standing peacock (?) with snake, atop shield.

Selling our entire 40 year collection of Chinese export silver.

We have owned this tray since the late 1970s

and this is the first time it is offered for sale.

Luenwo c1875.

The tray in unique hexafoil or six petal shape.

Wide skillfully applied then hand detailed border of song birds in garden.

Center with conforming hand engraved garden scenes divided into six panel.

Atop boldly cast leaf and vine framed center oval medallion scroll feet.

This c1875 Chinese export silver tray 16 inches 49 1/2 (standard) ounces.

Hallmarked as shown.

Excellent condition.

Retains most all of its original crisp, hand chased detail.
