Chinese late Qing dynasty to early Republic period “birthday” or “eternal spring” porcelain covered serving dish decorated on the lid and exterior in famille rose enamels with four character roundels symbolizing boundless longevity (“wan shou wu jiang”) set against a yellow ground densely covered in gourds, flower heads, and scrolling foliage. The base and lid bear six-character iron-red apocryphal Qianlong marks. The interior is white. 6 1/8” diameter x 3” high. Circa 1900 to early 20th century. Very good overall condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. This dish is from an old Scottsdale, Arizona collection.
