Antique Chinese water pitcher. I purchased this a few years ago for a pretty penny but have not been able to find out a lot about it. Perhaps someone could tell me something if you are not going to buy it. I believe it to be around early to mid 1800s but not sure and don’t know what dynasty. The handle still has the glaze on the inside so I am confused as to why the handle is rough. It does not appear to be a repair but instead looks like the rough substrate caused the glaze to come off the handle on the sides and outer most part of the handle. The crackle is beautiful. The pictures speak for themselves. 12” high and 26 3/4” diameter at the base.
