Original gingerbread girlpainting onan oval wooden plaque.The wood is1/2 of aninch thick.Sides and back and front are all painted and are protected with a polyurethane finish. Painting is not dated, but dates to approximately 1996. Wonderful folk art paintingof a gingerbreadboy in ablue cap, blue vest and green polkadot bow tie. Blue rose buds with green leaves painted on the sides. Great for Christmas or can be displayed year round. . There is a lot of goldmica powder paint on this. Back is initialed andhas a biblical verse. Condition is verynice and clean with intentional distressing of the polyurethane finish to give an antique old fashioned appearance. As the artist, I distressed the finish. The finish has is very course with course bubbles ( like big grains of sand ) and not smooth which is my intent as the artist as I adore the shabby chic decor and primitive pieces. Buyer can decide if and what hanging backing they wish to put on. The background on one sale image is white paper and on the other sale image is our scanner bed. Due to the gloss finish, a perfect image is hard to obtain for sale purposes. Size is approximately5inches by7.5 inches at widest and longest dimensions. Please write any questions.
