Christmas velvets....I always loved to decorate the holidays with crazy quilts that had deep colors and in velvet fabrics!

c 1890-1900s

Like an artist palette dabs of all sorts of colors and shades. True abstract art at a time when it wasn\'t even thought of!

Hand quilted which mostly shows on back.

Turned edges are hand sewn.

All velvets on front!

Never used or washed. Stored away for many years in a blanket chest. Deemed to good to use.

Estate find from Pennsylvania.

A quilt is an art form...beautiful and a self expression!
