This is a:
Circa 1860\'s Cased Hand Tinted 1/6 Plate Tintype of Young Boy Maybe Civil War!
The reason that I believe this to be Civil War military related is that the young boy is dressed in what appears to be a military coat and pants, perhaps Confederate! Further, the estate that it came from had several photographs that are definately Civil War including a fantastic CDV of a young boy (about the same age as this) in uniform holding his gun! This cased 1/6 plate tintype has hand tinted accents including the buttons of his \"uniform\" and the table skirt!
The case does suffer the typical split of the hinge. Otherwise it is in good to very good condition. The tintype is in very good to excellent condition. Please supersize the listing images to view the condition in detail!
