This is an early Civil War 1/6 plate Ambrotype showing a handsome young man with his rifle and shako helmet. We can see U on his buckle and an eagle on his helmet. This photograph was taken just before or early during the Civil War. It was recently purchased in Maryland from an old estate. The image is sealed, the black paint on the reverse has a little loss, we put a piece of black paper behind the image to correct it. Condition: Very Good. The case shows some wear and is split at the spine. Please see our large scans for an accurate representation of the image. Shipping in the the USA $5.50.
