THE HAND WRITING WAS ON THE CDV CARD WHEN I PURCHASED IT WAS IN A ALBUM WITH OTHER CIVIL WAR ERA CDV\'S, SO I DO NOT KNOW IF THE HAND WRITING WAS WROTE BY Mr. LINCOLN IS ORIGINAL OR IF SOMEONE ELSE WROTE IT, YOU LOOK AT IT AND YOU BE THE JUGDE, BECAUSE I DO NOT KNOW OR EVER HAD IT CHECKED OUT. I DID CHECK THE OTHER CDV IN THE ALBUM AND NONE OF THE OTHERS CDV\'S HAD ANY SIGNATURES. Needless to say, this is a genuine original, period piece, not a copy or reproduction. Condition of photo as seen in pictures. It is in good shape, a small and light fold mark ( upper top left corner) some wear from age. I had a person email me with information that the CDV photo was from a glass plate by this person relative and here is part of the message I received from the person: The person that took the picture is, James Watson Porter took this photo and the glass plate was discovered in the 30\'s by my great grandfather in crates belonging to Porter. If I\'m not the winner please put the winner in touch with me and I can provide them with some copies from the Cleveland Press and Plain Dealer circa early 30s that tells of the discovery of this and other glass plate negative.
