Civil war token store card type from Grand Rapids, Michigan, 370-C 1b, R-3, brass. The obverse shows a large pictorial of a stove in the center. Above the stove is Foster & Metcalf, and below it is Grand Rapids, Mich. The reverse shows the date, 1861, at the top center, and below it is Workers in Copper, Tin, Brass, and Heavy Sheet Iron. Plumbing, Gas Fitting, Etc, Etc, Etc. The obverse shows a dark spot near the rim at about the 3:00 o\'clock position. The area around and under all the letters is toned an old brass color, while all the center area is a brown toned color typical of brass. Recesses on the stove still show some of the lighter old brass color. An area just above the stove to the rim shows some of the light red oxide color. The reverse shows a dark spot at the rim on the left, near the 9:00-11:00 o\'clock position. The surfaces are mostly the old brass tone with the areas under the lettering being a little lighter in color and the rest of the area a darker shade of this tone.
