Clark Air Base had a very competitive 11 Man Tackle Football League for Many years into the 1970\'s. There were six teams and they played each other twice every season. Because of the heat the games were played at night under the lights. The games were televised and broadcast on radio and still had crowds from 8,000 to 12,000 spectators. This trophy recognizes the 5th TCG Fighter Wing Roadrunners football team of 1964.
The football measures 9 inches long and 5 inches wide and is in good shape forits age. It stands 8 inches tall from top to bottom. I believe it is made of teak wood.
I played there in 1969 for the 6922nd Security Wing Cobras and both games against the Roadrunners were tough. In fact every game was tough but fun.
