The great antiquity of the cave holds a fascinating history. Known by the Indians into the dimness of time, it has seen savage massacre; been the \"vault\" of counterfeiters, and has been the site where Jenny Lind sang on a bridge over the river Styx. She wrote her name nearby with a pine torch; the writing is quite legible even today. The card is in good condition, aging on the back, with a little wear on the corners.
