This reel is in very good cosmetic condition, light loss of the nickel plating in spots. I have not had a Pettengill before, so I cannot verify whether or not the nut and bolt holding the spool are original to the reel. I can confirm that the click mechanism under the tail plate is missing. This is a narrow spool trout reel 3\" in diameter. The spool is 1/2\" in diameter. The spool is stamped \"A. PETTENGILL\" just over the winding knob and \"3\" on the opposite end. This reel is fully ventilated. An uncommon reel, as you all know.
