Be gentle with me, I am used to listing books and not all that familiar with comic grading. I’ll answer any specific questions you have, but as a whole I would say that 49 is doing okay for this age, with a couple folded corners and cover nibbles but not yet falling apart. 48 is the best of the lot, somewhat wrinkled and well-read but with decent binding and no significant rips or tears I have seen. 46, well, the cover is definitely what I would call portable. It flakes a bit in my hand, too. Aside from the detached front page it is not too horrible, no other pages seem in danger of falling out. But that’s kinda faint praise, isn’t it?

Dell Comics are Good Comics, they said. Of course, back then the censors were a lot more concerned about boobs and blood than tone-deaf ethnic portrayals. As for whether we are better or worse off today, that’s for you to decide, potential customer.
