A classic example of pyrite and rhodochrosite from the Eagle Mine in Colorado!!! This specimen consists of a broad plate of sharp, brilliantly metallic pyrite crystals that host numerous pale pink, bladed crystals of rhodochrosite in association with a few scattered crystals of sphalerite!!! The pyrite crystals have a rich, golden patina that is quite handsome and showy in person!!! The rhodochrosite crystals exhibit rounded, blade like forms with pale pinkish color!!! The sphalerite is present as complex, darkly colored crystals prominently perched atop the pyrite crystals!!! Classic material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
