Up for sale is a vintage Western Electric (Bell System) model 554, rotary dial, wall telephone. It is white or cream in color, is complete and includes a handset with curly cord (about 3-4\' long). The dial mechanism rotates smoothly and the number card shows some age and discoloration. I assume it was made in 1963 since a stamp on the back says 7/63. There is some general discolorization / fading of the plastic. There is a faded spot on the front where a 911 sticker was (I\'m guessing). I got it years ago at an estate sale and am selling it because I no longer have room to display my phones properly and will be moving soon.

I have tested it...it will ring, answer, receive and transmit. The new internet phone lines (magicjack, vonage, comcast, etc...) do not recognize the pulses from a rotary dial. Since I have a magicjack, I was not able to test dialing. However some older, genuine AT&T / Bell System / GTE lines still recognize pulse dialing and it may work fine for you. Either way it will still work for answering and talking on as an extension phone. Know what you will be connecting it to before offerding.Check out my other sales, I have another rotary dial phone on different sale.
