Heavy Clear Glass Insert inmetal holder with a silverplate finish. It is about 10 1/2\" to the top of the handle, about 10\" long and 5 1/2\" wide. No chips or cracks. The basket is marked Meriden, CT and has a bird motif on each side piece. Birds and flowers on each side. My photography does not do justice to this glass insert. It is actually sparkling clear. An interesting piece for sure.
