These rare and beautiful silver “thrupence” are the coins that British people putinto the Christmas pudding. If you found one in your serving, you would havegood luck in the new year. They are smaller than a dime and the dates will be my choice, butit will be old. The ones minted in the reign ofKing Edward, from 1902 to 1910, and the early years of George V, from1911 to 1920, were .925 sterling silver. In the later years of George V, 1920to 1936, and during the years of George VI, from 1937 to 1952, they were .500silver. Theear wires are hypoallergenic surgical stainless and you can have them as postor clips. The coins have been carefully domed and polished.
