I have for sale a souvenir medal for the 1893 Columbian Exposition that was held in Chicago, Illinois. the medal is aluminum, it is two inches in diameter and in AU condition. The medal obverse at the rim reads WORLD\'S COLUMBIAN EXPOSITION - CHICAGO. In the center it shows a bust with the name COLUMBUS beneath. Next to the bust it has the years 1492 - 1892. The reverse at the rim reads COLUMBIAN SOUVENIR. In the center it has a Columbain Exposition issue two cent stamp showing the landing of Columbus scene. Above the stamp it has the year 1893 and below the stamp it has Pat. Pending. The stamp is in perfect condition. The stamp usually has a celluloid cover to protect it but this medal lacks the celluloid cover. In the Eglit catalog this medal is listed as # 136A. Please see my store at TE COLLECTABLES. (9,563)
