I have for sale a medal issued for the 1893 Columbian Exposition that was held in Chicago, Illinois. This medal was struck by Wilhelm Mayer of Stuttgart, German. The medal is aluminum, it is 1 7/16 inch in diameter and in uncirculated condition. This medal is listed in the So Called Dollar catalog as HK222a, low relief. The obverse has beads at the border with a ring of stars and the year 1892. In the center it has the Liberty head. The reverse at the rim reads DEDICATED TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE IN HONOR OF THE 400TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE DISCOVERY OF AMERICA - UNITED WE STAND DIVIDED WE FALL.
