This item is a 2 page signed letter from the President and founder of The Comet Automobile Company, George W. Jagers dated March 6, 1922. It talks about the possibility of oil reserves near their Decatur plant and the interest shown by many to lease their property. It also discusses the auto industry in general. Several interesting topics are set forth. This two page correspondence is signed by Jagers. The company itself was established in 1917, premiering at the Chicago Auto show. Unfortunately, the company\'s last year was 1922, the year of this letter, and the assets were sold the following year. In spite of condition, there can\'t be many of these in existence. An interesting insight into the auto industry at that time.
