This is a largechina plate that is 10 1/2 inches in diameter commemorating the carving of the four presidential heads at Mount Rushmore. When the Monument was completed, it was the largest monument ever carved. Thisis especially significant this year because the Monument is celebrating its 75th Anniversary. Johnson Brothers in England manufactured the piece.
The plate is a vintage item that\'s been displayed in a home collection for years. There are no chips, crack, or stains on the plate. The coloring is detailed in various shades of blue, blue gray, and off white. The back of the plate tells about the Monument and mentions that the plate was imported exclusively for Sunset Supply Co., in Rapid City,South Dakota.
