Thiswonderful antique etui is made of 800/1000 pure silver (tested) thathas been gilded with gold. The sides are deeply embossed with Rococoscrolls bordering town scenes in panels on both sides. Itmeasures 4 5/8\" high, 1 5/8\" wide at thetop and about 1\" deep.Thetop is hinged and a faceted ruby or garnet button on the side opens it. It works welland clicks closed.Inside it has a complete set of gilded and steel tools. Included are aneedle case, perfume bottle, scissors, pen knife, pencil, bodkin,tweezers/cuticle pusher and an earspoon/toothpick. Thegilded bow scissors have tight steel blades with sharp points and theycut paper well.The penknife has a sharp steel blade and closes securely. The top wingstyle screw on the scent bottle screws in tightly. The glass isperfect. Allof the pieces are in nice working condition with no loss or damage andthey all look to be original. The condition of the case is alsooutstanding with no dents, repairs or other damage. The bottom has whatlooks to be an eagle hallmark (probably Austria or Germany) withmaker\'s initials below (RP?).
