Up for sale is a completedCross Stitch Picture. It is a lovel picture of a ship at sea during sunset. The colors are very muted and just lovely.
the size is 12\" x 14\". It is done on ivory aida cloth. It is from the JCA Needle Treasures collection adapted from a design by Rose Swalwell. The fabric is stretched and mounted onto plywood backing. This is a double ivory mat with a mauve inner accent color that really brings out the sunset colors of the sky.
On the back there is a label indicatin that this was the photo model for kit #04675 and the title was SUNSETS - WATER\'S EDGE.
That is what makes this so unique in that it was the original hand crafted model which was used to take the photo that went on to the kit packaging. Included in this listing is a picture of such a kit. Here is the information that was provided with that:

Please look at the other cross stitch pictures that I have by this artist. There are 3 of them in total and they would look great together along one wall as they all have the same style.
This picture was a model to a needpoint kit which would have been on display in a store to show the prospective buyers how the item will look when finished. It was covered in plastic when displayed to protect the picture and still is. I was able to acquire quite a few of them; some were just matted and others framed.
I learned recently that the name on many of these finished pieces identified the company as JCA Inc. with an address in Massachusettes. They evidently ceased operations and will not be making/distributing anymore needlecraft kits. These finished piece from kits are already hard to find and will only be offered occasionally perhaps on the internet. Per the JCA website:
