Made in London, England 1950s. This wonderful example of the 58 model is insimply stunning condition. The Red Herringbone design is beautiful. Timeless Classic Design. As relevant today as it was 1950s. Sophisticated and elegant.Colour changes as the light passes over it. A delight to hold and view. Still has superb Gloss and Sheen of a New pen. Made of Celluloid. Very handsome penindeed. The Clip, Rings and Lever are all Yellow Gold plated and also superb. Very rare to find such clean Gold trim. No plate loss or Brassing. The Conway Stewart 58 etc.. barrel imprints are untouched as NEW deep and easy to read. This pen has never been polished or used much if at all in its life. Always looked after and never abused. Mainly living in its box. The Penhas Zero Cracks, Splits, Repairs, Scratches or Bite Marksetc....Rare. Overall once in the hand to the naked eye this 60 plus year old looks positively new born. Amazing writer full of personality and spring. The 14C 58DURO M Flex nib is a simple Joy to use. Writes with a smooth Medium Line that has Fine line side stroke. PERFECT Iridium Tips. Very user friendly with zero paper scratch or digging in etc. Simple elegant lines, perfect for everyday use. However this fabulous MINT Nib also has flexibility that allows for even more line width variation all the way to Bold Broad even Double Broad on the Down Stroke when varying levels of pressure is applied.The flex is also very user friendly in that it is not Soft, Loose or Twitchy. Never flexes by itself ONLY on user command. Rare to find ANY DURO nib on a 58 with Flex. Most are FIRM Rigid with little or no flex. This pen is a rare treasure.
