Limited Edition Conway Stewart Churchill, number 18 of 300, Color: Walnut. Cartridge Converter fill. This pen shows no signs of ever having been inked or used. It was manufactured as a button fill but was converted, using original Conway Stewart Parts, from button-fill to cartridge converter. The work was done by aindividual who was authorized to perform service on Conway Service pens when the company was still in business. The nib (a fine in 18K gold) is smooth.The converter (international size)is not included.
The setis complete with original boxes, cigar, pamphlet of Churchill quotes and bottle of ink.
International cartridge converters are made by over a dozen companies and some fit tighter than others. Of the four brandsI have (Schmidt, Monteverde, Pelikan and Universal) all do not fit as tightly as I would like. However, Parker converters are found to fit very well and have been tested, using distilled water, and function well in this pen.A new Parker converter will be provided which can be used if a tighter fitting International style cannot be found. International ink cartridges are also an option.
