This listing if for a stunning antique hand blown gilded decanter. I believe it was made for the Persian market in the late 1800’s, early 1900’s. The spiked stopper is magnificently eye catching. It was made in the Bohemia/Czech area and have many of the Moser typical design features, such as hand painted scrolls in panels with white painted circles of dots and gilded wrigglework. These aspects can be found on many of his factory pieces.The decanter is very decorative and well detailed, with cutting to the body with overgilding to show a large bunch of grapes. This is repeated on the opposite side, with leaves and with prolific hand painted wrigglework and Enamel decoration and 24k gilding. The gilding is in exceptional condition and the stopper are original. The end of the stopper finished coarsely, but that is how they were finished. It does not fit super snugly but that is also something also particular to that variety of decanter and others of that era. There is a small chip on the bottom end of the stopper.Amazingly, considering how old it is there is no damage on the main body, no chips, only very slight loss of gilding which is commensurate with its age.
