Listed here is a very rare Customs bayonet with the 10.5\" stiletto blade. Perfect condition WKC maker and reverse marked Muhlenfield Barmen. Grip plates and clamshell are mint as well as eagle head pommel. Frog is solid leather with rarely seen small size hilt strap, all very good condition. Scabbard metal is straight, no dents with appro 30% leather cover lost to time as shown in pics. Has original customs correct knot with good leather and some loose fraying on the hanging section of the aluminum wire. Rear of frog is alos marked FR Aug Muhlenfield G.M.B.H. Barmen.

The clamshell, crossguard, pommel and upper scabbard metal have a gilt type hue and could be a water customs version as outlined on page 117 of \'German Clamshells\' by Walker and Weinand but I cannot say for sure. The exact same specimen including maker is on page 119 0f the same book. This has the extra hilt strap retainer on the frog.

This entire original setup is in excellent plus condition and I believe is near impossible to find in any condition. email for any pics or info.
