Czech RF-11 M/2 Manpack Radio:
$475.00

For sale is a Czech RF-11 manpack radio transmitter/receiver, throat-mike, battery box, headphones, antenna and canvas strap, plus extra tubes in a wooden transport case. It runs 48.5 to 51.5 mhz, AM, 150 khz channel spacing. It has 21 channels and has four 1L34S tubes, and one 1H34S tube. The RF-11 serieswas the first post-WWII small manpack radio, and is probably based on the earlier WWII German Dorette manpack radio. The RF-11 was produced by Tesla in Pardubice, Czech Republic. As stated earlier the radio is equipped with four 1L34 tubes, one 1H34 (or Russian 1A2P if you can\'t find 1H34) tube and the extra tubesare normally stored in the quartz calibrator box in the upper left hand corner of the wooden transport box. The extra 1H34 tube is currently absent, but an Internet search has shown some are available in both Italy and in the Czech Republic. The extra Tesla 1L34S tubes are dated 1963. The radio is powered from three \"D\" size dry cellsand one 120V anode dry battery; the radio can run for about 12 hours of operation. To decommission the radio the Czech military may have damaged one or two ceramic disk capacitors inside the radio. A thorough visual search inside the radio will confirm or deny this. Schematics of the internal radio circuitry are availableon the Internet. Photos courtesy Toadjumper-Militaria.
