A lovely Rare Antique 7” tall Pitcher from Davenport Pottery in Staffordshire England. It is Ironstone with an under-glaze blue transfer that has been delicately hand-painted with Polychrome Enamels. It is 150+ years old. This is a beautiful, colorful and very detailed pitcher decorated with several Dodcatheon \"Shooting Star\" flowers...actually the entire plant is detailed, complete with their fragile roots.There are two embossed patterns: A Christian Gaelic circle with an X encircles the jug about an inch below the top rim. A soft scalloped effect is presented just before the footed base. The formed Handle and decorative rim are highlighted in a copper-colored lustre. In Pristine condition, No chips, cracks, crazing, stains or repairs. A really solid piece. Antique

Mid-19 CENTURY (dated class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: center;\">7+\" tall x 6\" across from Handle to Spout,
4-1/2\" across the top and 4\" across the Footed Base.
Approximately 5-1/2\" across the widest part of the pitcher.

It is made of Ironstone with an under-glaze blue transfer
that has been delicately hand-painted with Polychrome Enamels.
It is 150+ years old.
This colorful and very detailed pitcher is beautifully and accurately
decorated with several \"Dodcatheon\" (Latin name) \"Shooting Star\" flowers
...actually the entire plant is detailed, complete with their fragile roots.
There are also two embossed patterns:
A Christian Gaelic circle with an X encircles the jug about an inch below the top rim. A soft scalloped effect is presented just before the footed base.
The delicately formed Handle is outlined in Blue and, along with the outside rim, is highlighted in a copper-colored lustre.In Pristine condition.
No chips, cracks, crazing, stains or repairs. A really solid piece.
The handle is original and strong.

The bottom is

marked with a Blue printed
\"DAVENPORT\" in all Caps.
The name in all caps was used from 1805-1887.
It is further marked with hand-painted pattern # \"2074\"
and \"KO\", assuming the aritist\'s initials.
