DAZZLING Vintage 1860\'s Red & Green Applique Princess Feather Antique Quilt!
This VIBRANT cotton 1860\'s princess feather quilt is hand appliqued and hand quilted, in the classic four block configuration with unusual appliqued sawtooth accents. The quilt came out of the Pittsburgh, PA area.
It measures a generous 82\" X 84\" and is in excellent condition, with a couple of small, faint age spots (hard to find) and no wear. The quilt feels strong and sturdy overall.
There are straight line, clam shell, and feathered designs quilted throughout at 6-7 stitches to the inch. The back is white, the treadle machine stitched binding is the same early green calico used in the interior, and the batting is thin. You can see cotton seed residue inside when you hold the quilt up to the light.The VIBRANT COLORS, DYNAMIC DESIGN, and NICE CONDITION make this 19th century COLLECTOR\'S QUILT stand out!
