Catwoman #1 - Part of the Elseworlds series. Timon, this worlds Batman, is emperor of Augustonia and is warring against the people of the House of Selene which is considered evil. Rä\'s al Ghül, called the Cat-Man which is the demon of the House of Selene but is killed by Timon. Later, Timon is ambushed by Highwaymen and his entire escort is slaughtered. He is rescued by a the Cat-woman who later reveals herself as Talia, daughter of Rä\'s al Ghül. She tries to convince Timon that her people are not evil and that the hatred against them is due to prejudice and fear. Death warrants against all Selenites have been posted by the emperor and even when Timon is convinced of the mistake, it\'s too late.
Superman Man of Steel #3 - In this issue of Superman: The Man of Steel Annual, an alternate universe Kal-El teams up with Batman to free a Kryptonian occupied Earth. Superman begins to question Jor-El\'s methods when dealing with the \"Terrans\". He battles his own people and fights alongside them to free Earth from the rule of his own race and as usual Lex Luthor is involved.
Detective Comics #7 - The privateer Captain Leatherwing and his trusty first mate Alfredo board a Spanish ship known as the Santa Corazon. Leatherwing captures the crew and rescues the island slave girl Princess Quext\'chala. Sailing back towards the Cayman Islands, Leatherwing\'s vessel the Flying Fox stops at Kingston Harbor. A street urchin known as Robin Redblade stows away on Leatherwing\'s ship. Meanwhile, a rival pirate captain known as the Laughing Man attempts to find Leatherwing\'s hidden harbor, Vespertilio Cay, also known as the Bat\'s Cay. The Laughing Man scuttles a ship and interrogates its captain as to the Bat Cay\'s location. TheFlying Foxbrings Princess Quext\'chala back to her father King Hapa. To show his gratitude, Hapa offers Leatherwing his daughter\'s hand in marriage. Leatherwing accidentally accepts a ceremonial marriage bracelet before realizing the full ramifications of receiving such a gift. Leatherwing and Alfredo board theFlying Foxand sail off. Leatherwing discovers Robin Redblade\'s presence on his ship and provides him with food and a cabin. Meanwhile, the Laughing Man finds a vivacious female pirate named Capitan Felina. The two conspire with one another to find Bat\'s Cay. The Laughing Man pretends to force Felina off the plank into a sea of hungry sharks. As theFlying Foxapproaches, Leatherwing sees what is taking place and dives into the water to save Felina. He brings her aboard his ship and becomes immediately infatuated with her. Felina is discouraged however as Alfredo indicates that his captain only recently took a bride. With Felina on board, Leatherwing sails for Bat\'s Cay. The Laughing Man follows in his own ship thePescador. He enters Bat\'s Cay and fires his cannons at theFlying Fox. Capitan Felina decides to betray the Laughing Man and takes Leatherwing\'s side in the fight. Leatherwing boards thePescadorand delivers a fatal stab to the Laughing Man\'s chest with his sword. He then professes his love to Capitan Felina.
Legion of Super Heroes #5 -The Elseworlds Annuals event, the DC Universe\'s journey into remote realms of possibility, continues with a Legion story set in an \"Oz-like\" storybook realm. When young Ayla finds herself lost on a strange and mysterious planet, she must seek the aid of an odd assortment of \"Legionesque\" characters to find her way back home.
Justice League International #5 -In a world where humanity shuns and fears the superpowered, only Ten metahumans have fully revealed themselves. But after a failed attempt at stopping a nuclear meltdown (only to be averted by a mysterious presence), the Ten go into hiding. One half seeks to hide, the other half seeks to gain their rightful place as rulers of humanity.
Action Comics #6 -In this issue Gar El a Kryptonian ancestor of Kal Els lands on Earth in 1776 just as the rebels are about to declare their independence. In order to show good faith to the king of the new world he has found. Gar El agrees to defeat the rebellion before it gets off the ground. Cut to modern day, and the world has not changed. Because Gar El wanted to maintain order he became the ruler of the world stifiling the human race. Yet some begin to stand up against Gar El, and when Clark meets one of the rebels named Lois Lane, he agrees to join them.
Adventure of Superman #6 - In a strange ulternate universe, The Hordeattacksearth and wins. The heroes of earth have either been killed or gone missing. Years later there is talk of an attack on the horde. Hearing this Jimmy Olsen goes on a search for the heroes that are left from the forgotten age. They were fighting Captain Cold, and trying to stop his \"Ice Age\" machine. Flash rushes out to put a stop to the machine, and we find out from a nurse, that Wally West is the star of his own reality tv show. Not able to stop it on his own, The Flash returns to the hospital where Captain Cold had been taken also, and he Grabs him to get him to take out the Ice Age Machine himself. Cut to 10 years later. Wally is in a wheel chair, and he is directing the story of what happened the night the Flash died stopping Captain Colds Ice Age Machine. Unfortunately for Wally, the shoot is over schedule, oer budget, and even according to his own wife Linda, who was hired to keep track of continuity. It wasn\'t very good. That is when the studio heads discover a book by Len Snart ( Otherwise known as Captain Cold ) has written a book about the same scenario called \"Speed Demon\". Having enough of Wally coming in over budget and over schedule, they hire Snart to finish writing and directing the movie. Knowing that there is no way Snarts story could be anything but a smear against Barry Allen, Wally sets out to stop Captain Cold from destroying The Flash\'s reputation.

Superboy #1 -Continues fromAdventures of Superman Annual #6. The book opens in the rebels hideout. Superman is talking with Lana Lang, and they walk into a training area to see Batman training civilians how to fight, and Superboy sparring with Wonder Woman. During the training Lana reveals to Superman that she knows how to save Lois Lane. They make a plan to save her, and Lana leaves to avoid suspicion from the hoard. Yet when they arrive on the scene, they find that an ambush is waiting for them. The rebels manage to make an escape, but not without the sacrifice of one of their own. As they return to their base the heroes are licking their wounds. Batman hatches a plan that requires him to knock Superboy out. Batman shows up at a horde base, saying he is carrying the renegade Superman. they allow him in, and he and Superboy destroy the base from within. This sparks off the final battle, where no holds are barred, and we see hero after hero fall to the cause. Yet 2 make a stand against the powerfull leader of the horde and do their best to free Earth.
