This listing isfor a fine Delft Porceleyne Fles Antique Shoe painted by Roggeveen who workedin the Delft factory from 1892 until 1945. It measures approximately 4” long, 2 ¼” highand 1 ½”wide and is marked with the year code “R” for 1896. Thispiece is from my personal collection and it has been on display since I got it;it is in great preowned condition with only a nick at the top of the shoe (seepictures) and normal crazing. A greatfind at a great price!

De PorceleyneFles also commonly referred to as Royal Delft. The factory is the oldestsurviving Dutch Delftware factory founded in 1653 and is considered thestandard by which all delftware is measured. The artistry and craftsmanship mastered overcenturies of experience makes for fine pieces of artwork whether copied fromthe works of old Dutch Masters or commemorative pieces of historical interest.All are beautiful examples of fine craftsmanship and make great familyheirlooms to be treasured for generations.
