BRAND NEW: Yoshitomo Nara PupCup from CerealArt: New In Original Box DATED the PupCup, this 2003 release from CerealArt is a delightful addition to collectors of Yoshitomo Nara and a toy to children everywhere. It is recommended for youngsters 5 and older. The PupCup turns, spins, bumps, and generally wanders about. When it touches a barrier it turns and, twisting and turning, goes in a different direction. Between its sculptural beauty, artistic lines and absolutely charming face, it is quite a toy!

The puppy is flesh-colored with a green collar and sits in a white bowl with ice-blue \"liquid\". It stands approximately 9 1/2\" tall and measures approximately 8\" side to side and front to back. It is made of a rubberized plastic that is very pleasant--almost soft--to the touch and has small wheels on the bottom. It requires 2 AA batteries, which are NOT included.

The PupCup is new, in excellent condition with all of its original packaging. It is authentic, dated 2003, and is still one of the original, manufactured pups produced by CerealArt. We have been selling the PupCups since they first appeared on the market in 2004. We do not know how many are left or if they will ever be reproduced.

Yoshitomo Nara has become so popular that most people are now aware of his art as well as diversity. From animation, comics, painting, toys to poetry, he is one of the worlds most original, gifted, and prominent young artists, and his star is definitely rising. Nara is noted for his images of children and many have a edgy and rebellious message. However, Nara\'s puppy projects serenity, and gentle sensitivity; showing a very distinctive, pensive and thoughtful side to Nara\'s artistry.

Yoshitomo Nara was born in Hirosake, Japan in 1959. He received his formal education at Aichi Prefectural University where he graduated with a BA as well as a MFA. He furthered his studies in Germany, taught at the University of California, Los Angeles, and currently resides in Tokyo.
