CORKY\'S COMIC BOOKCOLLECTION -In 2013, Corky\'s comics were taken out of storage and the long arduous process of evaluating over 1,000 comic books began. It was immediately obvious that these books werein remarkable condition,as they were lovingly read and stored with care. The following is a dedication to her father, written by his daughter \"B\";Corky Richard David R., of Missouri, was born in 1928 and passed in 2012. His nickname was given to him by his father when he was two years old, coming from the comic book character \"Gasoline Alley\". He was a \"participant\" in life in so many areas. A creator beyond description, a pilot, a collector, who loved to laugh and had an endless collection of jokes of all kinds. He started collecting comic books around 1938 up thru the mid-1950\'s, accumulating over 1,000 books. To those who knew \"Corky\" well, they found him to be a soft soul with a kind heart and an insatiable love of animals. He was dedicatedto his wife, two daughters, extended familyand business to the end. Attached is a poem that was discovered when going through his belongings..........so he was a poet and we didn\'t know it!
THEN THERE\'S LIFE???There\'s No up, no downNo right, no leftYou can\'t take tomorrow,It would be a theft
No light, no darkNo here, no thereJust find today,It\'s everywhere
No in, no outNo fast, no slowI can\'t keep up,Where does time go?

You are offerding on the book shown in the scans and you should use these pictures as a significant portion of the description. I have up-graded the scanner so the details are sharper than our older sales. This is a great reading copy. The cover is wrinkled and has stains. There is a one inch tear on the lower cover along the fold. There are stains around the staples that go thru out the books pages but do not affect the panels. This book will be insured and delivered via US Priority Mail unless otherwise agreed upon. Shipping will be the cost of postage and insurance, no handling charges! It will be in a Mylar sleeve with an acid free backing board and carefully packaged. PayPal is the only form of payment accepted with only the rarest of exceptions! Returns will be accepted \"IF\"; 1.The buyer contacts the seller and states the reason for the return and seller agrees2.The book is returned in it\'s original condition3. The buyer will be responsible for return postage unless the seller has misrepresented the book in some manner (humans can make mistakes)I have collected and sold comic books since 1976. I have numerous \"slabbed\" CGC books and I have had numerous books\"slabbed\". As collectors know, grading is subjective, it is extremely rare for me to miss-grade a book by more than .6 on theCGC scale. The intermediate books are the most difficult to grade and I ALWAYS grade lower than most, so the buyer is given the benefit of any doubt.
THERE HAS BEEN CONCERNS EXPRESSED IN REGARDS TO THE LOW response. I AM SELLING FOR THE DAUGHTER OF THE ORIGINAL OWNER, USING HER ACCOUNT IN ORDER TO KEEP THE FINANCES SEPARATE. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE MY SELLING HISTORY PLEASE GO TO BOBSDIVCO IN . I HAVE NEARLY 2,800 TRANSACTIONS AND HAVE NEVER HAD A NEGATIVE IN 17 YEARS OF SELLING ON ! ALSO, I HAVE TO HAVE A DECENT STARTING PRICE BECAUSE THIS IS ASIGNIFICANT GOLDEN AGE BOOK. SORRY!
