The Disney Channel debuted to excitement anddelightin 1983. To celebrate the company\'s entry into the cable TV arena, Disney threw a special nighttime private party gala April 18, 1983 onDisneyland\'s MainStreet, USA. This collection of 3 buttons and 1 stick-backpin transports youback to that crisp Spring night, when champagne flowed freely on stage for the first time in the Park\'shistory.
The two large round pins are each silver, with one printed in teal and the other in blue. (Curiously, the teal pin is copyrighted 1981. Possibly this pin was created to promote and celebrate the announcement of the concept of the channel?) The rectangular pin was individually hand presented to every guestattending the exclusive private party. The small stick-back lapel pin has never been removed from its original sealed plastic bag. The buttons and pin have been stored away from light and smoke and are in very good, rust-free condition, front and back.Sweetnibblets!!
